Valentine's Day at school
Where we live, Valentine's Day is celebrated mostly by couples,
it's not for friends and not for classmates.
But, we like giving cheesy gifts to our classmates!
(my kids will most likely hold this against me when they're older..)
Last year, we did these "I heart my friends" cards with little chocolate hearts.
The kids loved making them, their friends thought it was fun, and most parents did too.
Some parents didn't get it and were quite confused
"we got your card, but...is my child invited to a birthday party? what is it for?"
Funny.

This year, we did these owls.

I saw a lot of owl cards online this year, many using a pencil as the branch.
Of course when the local stores sell "Swiss chocolate branches", how can you pass that up?
It also helps that "chouette" (owl) is also the same word as "neat" in French.
So "it's "Owl" (neat) being in your class".
Works for me.
Perfectly cheesy. (sorry dear children)
